A DOG nearly ATE ME!

I kid you not! Tonight, at precisely 11.14pm...a dog nearly ATE me.

(Before reading this story, please note, I'm scared of dogs...AND NO, I didn't have bad experience with them as a child...)

As I casually strolled down my road, I noticed, with my -1.5 vision (probably -2 now tbh), a dog in the distance. Thinking nothing of it (OBVIOUSLY it must have an owner close by) I continued to my door...
...NEXT THING I KNOW, this bull-dog looking creature is running towards me, no leash, no owner, NOTHING!
Did I not SCREAM at the top of my voice!?!??!? OF COURSE...and I somehow found myself behind a wall (albeit a low one) and on top of a recycling box! that FIGHT OR FLIGHT response well and truelly possesseddddddddddddd me!
SO...the missing owner suddenly appears, laughing (DOES THIS LOOK FUNNY TO YOU!?), and telling me the dog wanted to 'play' (ERMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...do I look like I want to PLAY!?).
The owner then proceeded to try and make conversation with me...??? He could see that I was SHAKING, and could barely SPEAK, after nearly being dinner, and he wanted to talk about the WEATHER!?
Nonsenseeeeee.

...and the moral of the story is...

...YOU SNOOZE!?...yes indeedy...YOU (most certainly, definitely, 100%ly) LOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE.

Yep. Its true. In the majority of life's more competitive encounters, whether it be competition for that coveted job, that dream house (uni students can relate...), that boy/girl (delete as appropriate), or even that last packet of Space Invaders (YES, I have run to the local corner shop for them...SORRY but you just don't know when that next delivery will be!)...ANYWHOM, yes, if you're TOO SLOW OFF THE MARK...OFF GOES THE PRIZE.

I too need to take heed...
I've been a victim of the snoozing and loosing ENOUGH for my liking...
That chapter of my life is OFFICIALLY in ADMINISTRATION.

You know it's LOVE when...

...your girlfriend's a vegetarian, and she's cooking you CHICKEN...and touching it...WITHOUT GLOVES. As exhibited by my dear friend Shree, for her boyfriend Rohan, on Valentines Day! Real deal love right there!
It took 3 attempts...one even resulting in what I like to call the 'Pink Surprise' (cooked on the outside...pink on the inside...YUMMMYY...!!)...BUT she got there in the end! With the end result looking positively DEEEEEEEELINCIOUS!!! Round of applause for SHREENAL! I'll be expecting some Shree produced chicken to be hitting my belly verrrry soon too...mmmm...preferably in the next week?!

Tuesday 9th February 2010 - PLANTAIN TOUCHDOWN!

Tuesday 9th February 2010 was a BIG day for 5 ARA (my uni house)...plantain, I repeat, PLANTAIN, fresh from an East London "Blue Bag Shop", was, for the first time, prepared and devoured on the said premises.

Ohhh it was a monumentous moment. AND OH how I had missed it.

Chicken wings prepared by me...plantain prepared by Winnie...and rice prepared by Mummy Uchendu. WHAT A MEAL. I think of it now and smile :D Mmmmm. Good TASTY times!

Ahhh...the joys of RUBICON.

Finally...after a year of searching, I have found a shop in Bristol that sells my BELOVED RUBICON LYCHEE. It's only 49p, AND the shop is only 5 minutes from my house...RESULT!!
Things like this make me happy :D
